F. Settings
MODULE : SETTINGS.EXE
PURPOSE :
The Settings module provides users access to all of the system game play variables and properties. The settings include the name of the game library to the login & password to your remote game server. The information is safely encrypted with your library.
DATABASE : GAME.INI
TAB : General
PROPERTIES :
These general properties are the values you entered when you created you Game Library. They are a generic information stamp for the library data. When working on the "DEFAULT LIBRARY" the Game Title can't be changed. The "DEFAULT LIBRARY" acts as a key, or template for all game modules.
You can change the startup map & location when players start your game. Explorations allows you to control the maximum number of players within a party. (up to 10 max)
Explorations also has a copy protect feature to keep people from editing your game data. This feature will apply a password to your library files. The data can't be opened or edited without the password.

PROPERTIES :
The Database tab allows you to control which databases your game will use, performance, and persistence of database changes. By default all the databases are ENABLED, and OPTIMIZED for performance. The databases are set to Read ONLY when the game is playing so that players can hack or make changes to the default databases. (It is recommended that you leave these tables as READ ONLY. Only enable Save on Exit when creating local games. MMO game data can get out of Sync.)

PROPERTIES :
These properties control the engine video features. You may control the game resolution, as well as the global sprite scaling. Explorations also allows you to control the how the graphics & files are stored. Using compression will save space.
The Time Controls will enable users to synchronize how the engine will playback various animated objects. These controls are based on how many frames you animations contain and must be set by "what looks right." - The Default settings are used for 6 frame animations.

PROPERTIES :
These settings are used to control movement speed for sprites. The Health values provide a point in which the AI (artificial intelligence) system will trigger NPCs to take action to heal or flee from combat.
These settings control the misc. aspects of the A.I. engine. These settings allow you to give NPCs more enhances game abilities.

PROPERTIES :
The Server settings allow you to control the Online Game Play features. This tab allows you to setup your server name and password for your games to connect.
